• A public workshop to discuss the development of a Comprehensive Master Plan for the city of Glen Rose is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at the Somervell County Expo Center, 202 Gibbs Boulevard. • The Glen Rose Bird Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Spirit Wind Church in Glen Rose. Attendees will be treated to a presentation on “The Biology of Woodpeckers in Texas.” Successes and plans for the year will be discussed. Refreshments will be served during the course of the meeting. All members are encouraged to bring a guest. The meeting is open to the public.

• The Annual Reagan Dinner will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Citizen’s Center. Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell (Ret.) will be the speaker. He is a survivor of the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

• Helping hands needed to assist Christmas in Action Glen Rose. Work day is Saturday, March 28. Christmas in Action is a non-profit organization that rehabilitates the homes of senior citizens and the handicapped who cannot afford such repairs. • The Somervell County Relay For Life will kick off their annual fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. on April 24 and 25 at the Glen Rose Soccer Park. The overnight event is used to help raise money for cancer research.
