The Glen Rose Reporter announced this week they will publish a pictorial history book of Somervell County.
The library quality hard-bound collectors' edition will feature up to 80 pages of pictures and history of both Glen Rose and Somervell County. The book will be printed on acid-free archival paper that will last for hundreds of years.
Containing around 225 pictures, these volumes will be ready by Christmas 2008.
Currently, The Reporter is soliciting pictures from current and past residents of Somervell County, through the past decades. Please mail in your photos with information attached (who, where, when and what is going on) to P.O. Box 2009, Glen Rose, TX 76043. Or drop by our office at 301A Mesquite St. in Glen Rose, and fill out a photo information form for each picture to be submitted. Be sure to place your name, address and phone number on the back of each photo so it can be returned after the book is completed. If you have any questions concerning submitting photos, just call 897-2282 for more information.
A limited edition will be featured for those interested in a deluxe version. The limited edition will be a numbered copy with no more than 50 copies ever published.
