1 - Hear some roots music

The Paluxy River Fall Bluegrass Festival will be picking' and grinnin' on Oakdale Park as almost a dozen acts take the stage Thursday-Saturday. Band will perform 6:30-9:45 p.m. Thursday, 1-10:15 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-10:15 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 Thursday, $15 Friday and $30 for a three-day pass. 2 - Show some Tiger pride

Homecoming week is in full swing! Don't miss these chances to show some hometown love. Cheer on volleyball and football teams at the district-wide community pep rally 2 p.m. Friday inside Tiger Arena. Let the GRHS Junior Class do the cooking at its annual hamburger supper 4-7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Cheer on the Lady Tigers as freshman, junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams face Hillsboro at home beginning at 4:30. Then watch the Tiger varsity football team shine under the Friday night lights at 7:30.

3- Roll through downtown

From custom classics and golden oldies to more modern Volkswagens, Volks Kruzers of Granbury will host its 2nd Annual Volkstock VW Car Show 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday on the historic downtown square.

4 - Fall into Texas Music, more

Music, shopping and a Texas-sized KIDZONE promises fun for everyone at the Fall Festival 1-10 p.m. Sunday at the Texas Amphitheatre. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. See glenrosefestival.com for more information.

5 - Support local eateries

Forget dishes and meal prep, support local restaurants by enjoying a meal out with the family this weekend. Whether you favor Mexican or Italian food, burgers and barbecue or finer cuisine, there are lots of local options guaranteed to palate your pallet.
