Lone Star Iris Society will conduct their annual sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 7, in Hico.

The sale will be held on northbound side of U.S. Highway 281, just north of the traffic signal, in the tan building between the log cabin in Culbreath Park and the old jewelry store.

The club will offer a wide variety of irises, and club members will be available to answer questions about growing the flowers. Be sure to shop early for the best selection.

Lone Star Iris Society meets at 10 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Hico. The next regular meeting will be held Oct. 5, featuring a game of iris bingo - a fun way to acquire a few irises.

The public is welcome to attend meetings, and refreshments are served.
