Early voting totals show close races for county offices.

In the race for county judge, Danny Chambers took the lead with 286 votes, followed by Jerry Lee with 282 and G. Darrell Best with 231. Dr. Mike Jones and Mickey Garrett trailed with 124 and 92 votes, respectively.

In the race for county and district clerk, Jeff Harris led in early voting with 438 votes, followed by Michelle Reynolds with 339 and Virginia Perales with 197.

The treasurer's race showed Susanne Graves in the lead with 316 votes, followed by Carrie-Knight Mapes with 280, Jennifer Stroud with 219 and April Gore Campos with 184.

Rick Clark garnered the most votes for during early voting for commissioner precinct 4 by one vote with 81, followed by Don Kranz with 80, Mike Daniels with 71 and Edwin Mueck with 63.

For the unexpired term for constable precinct 2, Jeff Slaton led in a landslide, with 387 votes over Vick G. Castillo with 41. 

Incumbent State Rep. J.D. Sheffield led early voting in Somervell County with 498 votes, followed by Danny Pelton with 244 and Howard "Eddie" Ray with 119.
