GLEN ROSE — Floyd Hall Flanary, 77, passed away Monday, May 2, in Glen Rose.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Flanary was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Iredell, to Johnie Lee Flanary and Bertie Lee Brown Flanary. He marred Geraldine Reynolds on Jan. 29, 1957, in Cleburne.
Mr. Flanary had lived in Glen Rose since 1966 and was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1954 to 1956. He worked as a team leader at General Motors. He really enjoyed the “42” tournaments at the senior citizens center.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Geraldine Flanary, of Glen Rose; sons Terry Lee Flanary and wife, Sheron, of Granbury, and Gary Eugene Flanary and wife, Toni, of Cleburne; daughter, Sherry Ann Watts, and husband, Brian, of Glen Rose; grandchildren David Flanary, Valerie Sanders, Koriann Watts and Timothy Watts; several great-grandchildren; sisters Flois Stringer and husband, Wallace, of Joshua, and Lois Clark Kirbo of Glen Rose; and several nieces and nephews.
