Estelle Lee Young

GLEN ROSE - Estelle Lee Young, 91, of Walnut Springs, passed away Friday, April 10, in a Glen Rose care facility after an extended illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 13, at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sharp officiating. Burial was in the Fulton Cemetery.

Estelle Lee Stewart was born November 8, 1917, in Millersview. She is the daughter of the late R.P. and Elizabeth Robert Stewart. On Feb. 21, 1936, she was united in marriage to Oliver D. Young in Millersview. A short time later the couple moved to Walnut Springs where she and her husband made their home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, on Oct. 24, 2007. Young was a member of the Walnut Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters Julia Milsap and husband, Joe, of Cleburne, Helen Sorenson and husband, James, of Wichita Falls; her son, Lee Young and wife, Jerry, of Stephenville; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Daryl Skiles, Carl Landes, Wade Coggins, Kerry Skiles, Ryan Wilcox, Brandon Owen, Eric Kirkland, Harry Coggins, Mitchell Skiles and Scott Wilcox.
