Harold "Dugan" Howard, 86, of Walnut Springs passed away on Saturday, July 7, in a Glen Rose nursing facility.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 11, 2012, in the Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs. Burial will be in the Nancy Smith Cemetery near Glen Rose. Chaplain Steve Durbin offficiated.
Dugan was born May 14, 1926, in the Chalk Mountain community of Somervell County. He was a son of the late Johnnie F. Howard and Fannie Fox Howard.
Dugan was raised in the Chalk Mountain and Cross Roads area. He was a retired barber and school maintenance man in Glen Rose. Dugan had lived in Walnut Springs since 1978.
He is survived by his daughters, Patti Woodall and husband, Alvis, of Hico and Krystyne Adams and her friend, Smokey White, of Fort Worth; grandchildren Michael Woodall, Stephen Woodall, Jessia Naumann and Emilee Adams; six great-grandchildren; sisters Lerlene Cullum of Granbury, Maxine Chaddick of Weatherford and Linda Pinwell of Arlington; a brother, Dale Howard, of Cleburne; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
