GLEN ROSE ó James Harry Bell, 94, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Glen Rose.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose. Burial followed in Glen Rose Cemetery.

Mr. Bell was born Nov. 25, 1913, in Fort Worth, to James Marshall Bell and Emma Clyde Housley Bell. He married Mary Elizabeth Buzan in 1939 in Glen Rose. Mr. Bell was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served for over 70 years as Sunday School Superintendent and for 17 years as the song leader. He was a member of the Methodist Menís Group and he served on the Glen Rose city council.

Survivors include wife, Mary Elizabeth Buzan Bell of Glen Rose; daughter, Rosemary Bell Jobe and husband, David, of Bedford; granddaughters, Melanie Jobe Piekarski and husband, Sean, of Arlington, Amanda Jobe of Dallas; great grandchildren, Katya and Holden Piekarski; nieces and nephews, Brenda Buzan Ransom; Bill Buzan of Glen Rose, Joel Buzan of Ringgold, Texas, Douglas Buzan of Weatherford, Jacque Buzan Biery of Graford, Maxine Buzan Cooper of Fort Worth; and many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
