GLEN ROSE — Thelma Cheek, 83, passed away Thursday, March 10, at her residence.
A funeral service was held Monday at Glenview Church of Christ in Glen Rose. Burial followed in George's Creek Cemetery in Somervell County.
Mrs. Cheek was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Kopperl, to Marion and Minnie Graham Kimbell. She married O.C. Cheek on Oct. 28, 1950, in Cleburne. She was a member of Glenview Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are her husband, O.C. Cheek; children Cordella Cheek, Leland Cheek and wife, Rhonda, and Virginia Henegar and husband, Dewayne; grandchildren Dena and husband, Tommy, Allen, Greg and wife, Audrey, Ella, Casey, Ashley and husband, Eric, Magan, Shavahn and husband, Dustin, and Ben; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Lilly, Trevor, Hayleigh, Brook, Ava and Hayden; brother, Marion Carter Kimbell, and wife, Darnell; sister, Inez Burns; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
