Anthony L. Scheetz
GLEN ROSE - Anthony L. “Tony” Scheetz, 56, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. Funeral services were held on April 4 at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose and burial at Squaw Creek Cemetery.
Scheetz was born Aug. 11, 1952 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He spent six years in the US Navy, having the honor of being part of the nuclear submariners during his entire naval career. After completing his tour of duty in the navy he spent some years in the oil pipeline industry and subsequently became a part of the nuclear power industry and spent 24 years employed by TXU at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Station in Glen Rose. The past year he has been employed at a Lynchburg, Virginia, power plant. He was a member of the Glen Rose Masonic Lodge 525 A.F. and A.M. and was a longtime resident of Somervell County.
Survivors include his son, Jeremy Norton and wife, Cindy, of Lantana; daughters, Cherie Norton and fiancé, Jamie Estep, of Arlington, Kellie Davis and husband, Billy, of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Devin Shae, Jaxon Kade, Taylor Anthony, Mason Don, Jacqueline and Brendon; mother, Lucille Scheetz; brothers, Michael and Kenneth Scheetz of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends who were treasured by him throughout his life.
