GRANBURY - Paul J. McMahan, 79, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, in Glen Rose due to complications of Alzheimers.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at DFW National Cemetery.

Mr. McMahan was born Apr. 29, 1932, in Farwell, Texas, to Cornelius and Dora Buel Threet McMahan. He married Patricia May Cooper on June 10, 1956.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a Korean veteran, a master woodcrafter and was in sales and management.

Viewing will be 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday with family visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Martin's Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Pat McMahan; sons Douglas McMahan and wife, Glenda, of Mansfield and Steve McMahan and wife, Carly, of Folson, La.; a daughter, Dianne Meredith, of North Richland Hills; a brother, Clyde McMahan, and wife, Joanie, of Abilene; sisters Ruby Ward and husband, Cleo, of Muleshoe, Dorthy Jean Mick and husband, Jerry, of Abilene; grandchildren, Christi Martin and husband, Chad, Cassie Handlin and husband, Jason, Cody and Dylan McMahan, Jason and Justin Wells; and six great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Andrew, Dakota, Blake, Alyssa and Layla.
