Karen Lee Hazel
ALVARADO - Karen Lee Hazel, 65, of Alvarado, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from complications due to Leukemia. Memorial service will be private.
Karen Hazel provided warmth and goodness to her family with a beautiful radiant smile. She had an unshakable faith and love of God that she shared frequently with her family and others. She inherited a love of flowers and birds and spent many happy hours in their pursuit. She loved to play games and if you were feeling down she might even let you win. She touched the lives of many patients in her years of service as a nurse in local nursing homes. Upon her retirement in 2008 she began to spoil her granddaughters in a serious way. She will be missed.
Survivors include her mother, Maxine Muehlhauser; brothers Darrel Muehlhauser and wife, Kristina and Dennis Muehlhauser and wife, Nancy; husband, Garlan Hazel; sons, David, Darren And Darrel Hazel; three granddaughters, Taylor, Matalyn and BreAnna; and several nieces and nephews. She loved her daughters-in-law, Lynn, Shonda and Amanda, as if they were her own.
