GLEN ROSE - O.C. Cheek, Jr., 83, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenview Church of Christ in Glen Rose. Burial will follow at Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County.

The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Cheek was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Hood County, to Otto Colonel Cheek, Sr. and Ima Eddy Ratliff Cheek. He married Thelma Kimbell, Oct. 28, 1950, and she preceded him in death March 10, 2011.

Mr. Cheek was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Glenview Church of Christ.

Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include children, Cordella Cheek, Leland Cheek, Virginia Henegar and husband, Dewayne; grandchildren, Dena and husband, Tommy, Allen, Greg and wife, Audrey, Ella, Casey, Ashley and husband, Erick, Magan, Shavahn and husband, Dustin, Ben; great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Lilly, Trevor, Hayleigh, Brooke, Ava, Savannah, Hayden, Hadlee; brother, Wando Cheek; and sisters, Wanda Sparks and Maureen Gray.
