CHINA SPRING — Lyle Ussery Henderson, 86, passed away Saturday, March 27, in Waco.
A graveside service will be held at 1 a.m. Wednesday at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Henderson was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Monument, N.M., to Lyle D. Henderson and Mary Ussery Henderson. He married Frances Ann Hart on July 29, 1950, in Odessa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
After leaving Glen Rose in 1977, he moved to Shattuck, Okla., where he continued his nursing profession until his retirement.
Henderson was a longtime member of Glen Rose First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Survivors include his children Scott Henderson of China Spring, and David Henderson and wife, Pam, of Santa Anna; grandchildren Faith Fowler and husband, Danny, of Greenville, and Alex Henderson and Matthew Henderson, both of Santa Anna; and a great-grandchild, Alyssa Fowler.
