GLEN ROSE — Roy Lee Cogdill, 64, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, in Glen Rose.?Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 6, at Eastern Heights Church in Cleburne. was in Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Cogdill was born Feb. 22, 1946, in Burnett, Texas, to Coy Lee Cogdill and Joy Rosebell Jones Cogdill. He married Nelda Sue Jones, August 20, 1966, in Kennedale, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army in the 342nd Transportation Company. He was a welder and furniture maker.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters Zara Ann Cogdill, Rosemary Cogdill, Dolly Mae Cogdill, Joy Ann Etchison and Deborah Kay Cogdill.?Survivors are his wife, Nelda Sue Cogdill, of Glen Rose; sons Roy Lee Cogdill Jr. of Glen Rose and Christopher Wayne Cogdill of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter, Netta Ann Cogdill of Glen Rose; granddaughters, Cejay Elizabeth Cogdill and Broklyn Rose Cogdill; daughter-in-law, Kristen Cogdill; brothers Coy Glenn Cogdill, Sonnie Cogdill, John Wayne Cogdill, James Roy Cogdill and wife, Sandy; sisters Linda Gale Armstrong and husband, James, Norma Christine Garcia and husband, Reuben, and Ora Louise Cogdill; and nieces and nephews.
