RAINBOW — Jewel Lemens, 74, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, in Glen Rose.
A funeral service was held at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial was in Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Mrs. Lemens was born May 24, 1936, in Stephenville, to Omar Kyle Douglas and Emily Nile Hale Douglas. She married William Don Lemens on June 4, 1951, in Glen Rose.
She was a member of Rainbow Baptist Church. She was a faithful wife and mother and she loved to cook and to paint.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers James Douglas and Joe Douglas, and sister, Ruby West.
Survivors are her children Dian Conger, Karen Crawford and husband, Ron, Janis Gabrielson and husband, Kenneth, and Donald Lemens and wife, Peggy; grandchildren Jonathan Roberts, Kent Gabrielson, Tara Roberts, Bryan Conger and Bo Conger; five great-grandchildren; and brothers and sister Elouise Platt, Bud Douglas, Johnnie Ray Douglas and Stanley Douglas.
