GLEN ROSE — Carrie Tolliver Hampton, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in Grand Prairie.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Walnut Springs First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Mrs. Hampton was born April 5, 1928, in Hamilton County, to Walter and Margaret Bullard Tolliver. She was registered nurse at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital and Glen Rose Medical Center for many years.
Survivors include daughters, Vickie Smith and husband, Charles, of Grand Prairie, Connie Kirk and husband, Vernon, of Glen Rose; children by marriage, Michael Hampton and wife, Juanita, of Gladewater, Jeannie Smith and husband, Vincent, of Arlington, Susan Karns and husband, John, of Byron, Georgia, Larry Hampton and wife, Mae, of North Richland Hills, William F. Hampton of California; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Tolliver and wife, Frenda, of Burleson, W.D. Tolliver and wife Barbara, of Iredell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Walnut Springs.
