Betty Bruce Lively Burns passed away Saturday, March 24, in Glen Rose.
Funeral services were held March 27 in the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Holladay and Rev. Jason Sharp officiating. Burian was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Pallbearers were Johnny Bruce, David Bruce, Brian Aycock, Travis Daniel, Joshua Daniel and Shawn Yoct.
Betty was born June 20, 1935, to Lloyd and Jewel Bruce in Johnson County. She married Quinton Lively on Aug. 9, 1952. Quinton preceded her in death on March 6, 1999.
She married Troy Burns on Sept. 10, 2001. Troy preceded her in death on June 25, 2010.
She also was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Bruce; mother, Jewel Bruce; brothers Darwin Bruce, Billy Bruce and Robert Bruce; and her precious granddaughter, Ellen Anderson.
Betty is survived by five children: Beverly and Rick Atkinson of Round Mountain; Gary and Joyce Lively of Cleburne; Rachel Byrd and Harley of Walnut Springs; Rickey and Andria Lively of Walnut Springs; and Deborah and Gary Anderson of Walnut Springs; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She also is survived by one brother, Deward Bruce, of Keene; two sisters, Shirley Aycock of Moody and Brenda Daniel of Meridian; and her beloved pets, Tip and Blue.
