Clyde “C.W.” Carnes

GLEN ROSE — Clyde “C.W.” Carnes, 73, a paint contractor, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, in Glen Rose.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at White Church Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Mr. Carnes was born June 23, 1936, in Mineral Wells, to Barney Carnes and Maggie Ola Peters Carnes. He married Doris Fay Woodall on Oct. 28, 1953 in Vernon. C.W. was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Clyde William Carnes, Jr.; and brothers, Burney Carnes and Clarance Lee “PeeWee” Carnes.

Survivors include wife Doris Carnes of Glen Rose; children and spouses, Barney and Debbie Carnes of Lakeside Village, Bonnie and Jim Mikulenka, Lory Willis and Lance Matthews, Clyde D. Carnes and Michelle West, all of Glen Rose; son-in-law, Steve Willis of Glen Rose; grandchildren and spouses, Lee and Casey Carnes of Nemo, Andy and Amanda Carnes of Granbury, Dale and Crystal Willis of Japan, Chris and Julie Mikulenka of Glen Rose, Stephanie and Chris Eads of Waco, Austin West of Glen Rose, Brady Hart of Cleburne, Stephanie West of Fort Worth, Nicole and Albert Martinez of Hartsville, S.C., Ronnie Willis, Travis Willis and Samantha Willis, all of Glen Rose; great grandchildren, Gage, Noah, Camryn, Makenna, Preslee, Stevie, Albie, Gabriel, Katlyn; nieces and nephews.
