Lexa Ann (Riddle) Hauk
Marietta - Services for Lexa Ann (Riddle) Hauk, 80, of Marietta, OK, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel of Marietta with Rev. Don Keizor officiating. Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Lexa was born April 28, 1940 in Monahans, TX to Dorothy D. (Martin) and Alex Riddle. She passed from this life on February 6, 2021.
Lexa was reared by her grandparents, Grover W. and Frances B. Riddle. She attended school in Glen Rose, TX and married Joe Floyd Hauk on February 16, 1957 in Irving, TX. Lexa and Joe were married 48 years and seven months at the time of his passing on September 25, 2005.
Lexa and Joe lived several places across the U.S. due to Joe's work. They moved to Marietta, in April of 1972 where Lexa has continued to live. They had two children, Kenneth Edwin Hauk and Cheryl Ann Hauk. She held several jobs in her lifetime. The longest term of employment being as the secretary to the Love County Commissioners. She loved the job and the people she met during her time with the County Commissioners. She was proud of her position and retired after 28 years. Lexa loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed greatly being able to get together with them when possible. She enjoyed camping at the lake and her other favorite pastime was reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Floyd Hauk; daughter, Cheryl Ann (Hauk) Riner Smith, in 1987; brother, Lee Riddle; parents and grandparents.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth E. Hauk and his wife Theresa of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Rusty Riner of Ardmore, OK, Aaron Hauk of Yukon, Casey Morris and husband Jarred of Yukon; great-grandchildren, Rylynn Riner, Reiny Riner, and Max Morris; brothers, Bill Riddle and Glen Riddle; and "her best friend in the world", Nelson "Dude" Powell.
Serving as casket bearers were Rusty Riner, Aaron Hauk, Clancy Hallum, Tim Powell, Keith Hallum, and Jay Thompson.
