Carlton Dale Montgomery

Glen Rose - Dale Montgomery age 84, of Glen Rose, Texas passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at his home in Glen Rose.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 P. M. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow, Texas. Rev. Joe Phillips will conduct the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Dick, Austin Montgomery, Miles Montgomery, Colton Montgomery, Bobby Montgomery and Cliff Montgomery.

Dale Montgomery was born on January 24, 1937 in Waco, Texas to Richard and Edna Gilbert Montgomery. Most of his life he lived in Glen Rose and graduated form GISD. He married Sandra Giesecke on November 28, 1957 in Winne, Texas. Dale worked 27 years for JohnManville Corp in Cleburne serving as Shipping/Receiving/Production Manager before retiring in 1992. He served on the GISD school board , coached PeeWee football and was an avid Tiger fan. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and goats, gardening and fishing with his kids and Grandkids.

Left to cherish Dale's memories are his children, Clifford Ray Montgomery and wife Kristi of Weatherford, Dee Anne Dick and husband Larry of Granbury, Bobby Jack Montgomery and wife Carrie of Glen Rose, 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife Sandra Giesecke Montgomery and parents Richard and Edna Gilbert Montgomery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
