We dodged a very big bullet last Friday — that being two very large wildfires threatening our county.
We are blessed to have a county that is well equipped and one where the systems worked perfectly. Numerous sheriff deputies were in the area warning people of the danger and evacuation. The warning sirens blew and were heard. The Code Red calls were effective.
Most importantly, the volunteer firefighters took the time from their day-to-day work to diligently stop these violent fires.
Obviously, the people in the county E.O.C. (Emergency Operations Center) made some great decisions guiding this fight as well.
Finally, we should all thank the Lord for guiding the winds in the direction to avoid more damage,
Thanks to all!
