This year marks the 14th consecutive year that Barnard's Mill Art Museum will hold a contest open to Glen Rose ISD students.

The competition is sponsored by the Somervell History Foundation.

GRISD art teachers Jeff Gottfried at Glen Rose Elementary School and Glen Rose Intermediate School, Barry Payne at Glen Rose Junior High and Randy Haney at Glen Rose High School are responsible for overseeing student art work on their campuses.

Cash rizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in each division. A "People's Choice" award will also be given and the recipient recognized at the May GRISD Board of Trustees meeting with an award of $75.

An honorable mention ribbon also will be awarded for all three divisions.

The awards will be presented at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the mill.

Entries will be on display on Sunday, April 29, and Saturday and Sunday, May 5 to 6. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5†p.m. Sunday.
