STEPHENVILLE —Tarleton State University has the perfect job fair for individuals searching for a career in criminal justice.

The 18th annual Richard T. Shigley Criminal Justice Career Day will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms.

Recruiters from more than 20 law enforcement agencies will be available to assist attendees with questions about their organizations, necessary qualifications and assistance in planning their current activities to maximize their future hiring potential.

Participants include the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Texas Department of Corrections. Also attending will be representatives from police departments including Austin, Bryan, Carrollton, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Flower Mound, Granbury, Haltom City, Killeen, Lake Worth, Midland, Euless, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Richardson, Stephenville, Waco and Weatherford.

Sponsored by Tarleton’s Department of Criminal Justice, Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society and the TSU Criminal Justice Association, the event is open to the general public, regardless of educational major, for those interested in a criminal justice career.
