Glen Rose High School will be sending seven boys and five girls to the regional powerlifting competition.
In addition to the girls qualifiers, which had previously been released, GRHS coach Terry Harlin announced this week that the seven boys who qualified to advance are: Briley Green, Dillon Graves, Maxx Lauderdale, Tanner Stroud, Nic Lara, Zach Powell and Hayden Shaw.
The boys regional meet is set for Saturday, March 10, at the high school gym in Smithville.
The girls regional qualifiers won’t have to wait as long. They will compete this Saturday, March 3, at the Ralph Wilson Youth Club in Temple.
The five Lady Tigers who qualified for the regional competition are: Angie Herrera, Alexis Norman, Jazmin Garcia, Antonia Diaz and Breana Rosentreter.
The powerlifters who qualify for the girls state meet will compete March 17 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco. The boys state meet will be March 24 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.
