Less than 24 hours after joining the ranks of the AFCA Top 25, Tarleton Football has entered yet another national ranking after D2Football.com tabbed the Texans No. 24 Tuesday morning.

This is Tarleton's first national ranking by D2Football.com since they were ranked No. 23 on Sept. 22, 2014. It's the first time Tarleton has been ranked in both of the major national polls at the same time since Sept. 15, 2014 when Tarleton was No. 12 in AFCA and No. 15 in D2Football.com.

Tarleton is one of three Lone Star Conference teams ranked in the D2Football.com poll, joining Midwestern State at No. 4 and Texas A&M-Commerce at No. 14. The Texans are 3-0 for the first time since 2013 after defeating Delta State, West Texas A&M, and UT Permian Basin in the first four weeks of the season.

Tarleton will head to San Angelo Saturday for a road test against the Angelo State Rams at LeGrand Field at 6 p.m. Angelo State is coming off a 57-36 loss to then-No. 7 Midwestern State in Wichita Falls last Saturday. Saturday's game will also mark the annual 'Coach to Cure MD' by the AFCA.
