Shalyn Wedel, Alexis Mims and Zaidey Mills of Glen Rose each won varsity girls events and Austin Roach captured a first-place spot in the boys division for the Tigers on March 7 at the Hillsboro Cullen Davis Relays.

Mills not only won the girls long jump, with a personal-record distance of 14-8-3/4, she was the runner-up in the triple jump.

Mims won the 800-meter run with a personal-record time of 2:06.41.

Wedel came out on top in the pole vault, clearing 9 feet, 6 inches.

Roach’s winning time in the boys 400 was 54.78, setting a new personal record.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will be idle until they host their own tournament, the Tiger Relays, on Thursday, March 21.
