District 7-4A team tennis play continued Monday afternoon for the Glen Rose girls and boys teams, taking on Brownwood on the GRHS courts.

Liz Gutierrez posted a 6-0, 6-4 decision in her No. 6 girls singles match, providing the only match win for GRHS.

“The two boys doubles teams that lost in super-tiebreakers were very hard fought and exciting matches,” GRHS head tennis coach Gregger Yeager said. “Those four boys earned a chance to beat very good competition, but in the end couldn't quite finish off the Brownwood pairs.”

The overall team score was Brownwood 18, Glen Rose 1. The next match will be Monday at home against Godley.
