The Glen Rose Lady Tigers placed in 13 events in varsity track and field competition at Thomas Head Stadium in Alvarado on Saturday.

All three relay teams made strong showings, with each placing in the top six. The 4x200m relay was the Lady Tigers' best team event, as Regan Ritter, Katy Irvin, Kelsie Parnell and Kaitlin West teamed up to finish second in 1:51.49, less than two seconds behind winner Lorena with a time of 1:49.95.

The 4x100m relay squad consisting of Ritter, Irvin, Jaylan Dillard and Rebecca Hajny finished fifth in 54.20 seconds, while the 4x400m team of Dillard, Parnell, Gina Sannoh and West was sixth in 4:37.34.

West also finished second in the 200m dash, crossing the line just two-tenths of a tick behind the winner from Lorena. The senior Lady Tiger also tied with teammate Casey Cummins for sixth in high jump at 4-6.

Brielle Nicholson placed fifth in discus at 86-7.5 and fourth in shot put at 29-6.5. She was joined in the shot by fifth-place Teryl Dunn, also from Glen Rose, at 29-5.

On the track, Cummins was fourth in the 3,200m run with a time of 14:39.84, and Breanna Crawford placed fourth in the 800m run in 2:46.83.

In the 100m, Irvin was third in 13.14 seconds, followed by Hajny in fourth at 13.30.

Dillard was fourth in the 400m in 1:08.42, while Ritter placed sixth in the 200m in 28.38.
