This weekend, a trio of Glen Rose youth football teams will head to Godley in an attempt to capture a Super Bowl crown.

Each team competes in a different division within the Quad County Pee Wee Football Association. The Senior Peewee Tigers, made of up fifth and sixth graders, managed to defeat Alvarado in triple overtime to reach the Super Bowl. Itís the second Super Bowl trip in three years for this squad, and their game begins on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Maypearl.

The Junior Peewee Tigers, comprised of third and fourth graders, had to beat Tolar to reach the Super Bowl. Their contest will begin at noon on Saturday against Grandview.

Meanwhile, the Freshman Peewee Tigers, made up of first and second graders, also needed to beat Tolar to get to this point and their Super Bowl opponent will be Grandview. Their game begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and all three games will be held at the Godley Junior High football stadium.

Admission is free, so youth football fans of Glen Rose are encouraged to come watch these young Tigers chase their Super Bowl dreams.
