Glen Rose won two relays and placed third in another as part of a strong performance that saw the JV Lady Tigers claim 19 top-six finishes in the Redskin Relays at Comanche March 12.

Gabby Marghart, Sammie Simons, Katie Uehlein and Morgan Bruce teamed up in both the 4x100m and 4x200m relays and the result was the same both times - victory.

The Lady Tiger sprinters finished the 4x100m event in 56.24 seconds, and finished the 4x200m race in exactly two minutes, besting teams from Eastland and Bangs in both events.

The 4x400m team consisting of Brittan Sanderson, Kelsie Fleetwood, Uehlein and Bruce finished second in 4:50, 10 seconds behind event-winner Comanche.

Merghart continued her big day by winning the long jump when she cleared 14 feet. She also placed second in the triple jump at 29-9.5 and was second in the 100m hurdles in 18.58 seconds. Individually, she scored 36 points.

Simons had the Lady Tigers' only other second-place finish on the track when she completed the 200m in 30.72 seconds.

Sanderson was fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:14.68 and Kelsie Fleetwood was fifth in the 300m hurdles in 59.84 seconds. Just behind Fleetwood was fifth-place Lacy in 59.88 ticks. Julie Montellano and Marae Talavera were fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 800m run. Montellano crossed the finish line in 3:07, followed by Talavera in 3:12.

In the field, Katy Spenrath finished second behind Merghart with a 12-foot long jump, giving the Lady Tigers a 1-2 finish and 18 points in the event.

Macy Reynolds jumped 28-3 to take third behind Merghart in the triple jump, giving Glen Rose 16 points.

The Lady Tigers were also second and third for 16 points in the pole vault. Sammy Montoya was second at seven feet, while Fleetwood finished third when she cleared 6-6.

Matalyn Hazel placed fourth in shot put at 23-9 and sixth in discus at 63-3. Christine Sheets was fourth in discus at 66-6.
