The Lady Tigers couldn't surpass the Hillsboro Lady Eagles Tuesday night, losing 5-2.

"We played better defensively against Hillsboro, but our bats were silent," Glen Rose Head Coach Kiel Miller said.

Teryl Dunn put the pressure on the Lady Eagles, sending a pitch over the fence for a home run and two RBIs.

Reilly Junge, Cheyenne Harton, Shelby Rotan, Amber Ponce and Kelsy Massey each had one single to first.

"We had multiple opportunities with runners in scoring position, but couldn't get the job done at the plate when it counted," Miller said.

The Lady Tigers had five fielding errors as a team.

Shelby Tankersley pitched for the Lady Tigers and allowed 11 hits, five runs, three earned runs and had one strike out.

On Friday, April 13, The Lady Tigers fell to the Alvarado Lady Indians 7-0.

Amber Ponce did hit a double and a single, but this was the most action a Lady Tiger saw.

Destiny Ponce also doubled once.

Tatiana Wood, Dakoda Bybee, Harton, Dunn, Junge, Massey and Rotan each hit a single in the loss.

"We made some key errors and again our bats were quiet with runners in scoring position," Miller said.

Tankersley pitched for Glen Rose and had two strikeouts, allowed 10 hits, seven runs and four earned runs.

"We just struggled, in both games, at the plate with runners in scoring position," Miller said.
