Crawford and Tucker Garza added 11 and Wyatt Goebel chipped in with 10 points. Jayden Reynolds scored nine points, Ethan Hartman scored eight and Chance Nabours and Derek Kramer added three points apiece.

“It was a great game, all-around,” Glen Rose coach Wayne Roberts said. We made 13 three-pointers on the night, with six coming in the first quarter.”

In the second game of the day, Glen Rose topped Lone Oak, 40-21.

“We played outstanding defense against a very good Lone Oak team,” coach Roberts said. “The physical man defense made it tough to score.”

Lytle led the Tigers with 18 points and Jayden Reynolds added 10.

Lone Oak took a 4-0 lead, but Glen Rose sprinted to a 13-7 lead after one quarter of play. The Tigers held Lone Oak to just three points in the second quarter in building a 19-10 lead at intermission.

In the third quarter, Glen Rose’s defense took control of the game, limiting Lone Oak to just four points.

“Bailey Holder had a great game on the defensive end,” coach Roberts said. “Sam Strother was in foul trouble, and Derek Kramer and Bailey did an excellent job in the middle. Tucker Garza is also getting his touch back and DD Crawford and chance Nabours getting into form.”
