The A-teams of GRJHS Lady Tiger basketball made sure to finish their respective seasons on a high note Monday evening.

The seventh grade A-team rolled to a 41-9 victory over Venus, spearheaded by a 20-1 third quarter. Perhaps most impressive was the team turning up the heat in that third quarter after a 2-2 second quarter.

Top scorers in the win were Allison Andress (14) and Emma Bozarth (10). Other scorers were Laiken McAnear (9), Morgan Kirby (3), Madenna McQuesten (2), Lilly Worbington (2) and Breana Rosentreter (1).

The seventh grade Lady Tiger A-team finished 6-2 in district to take second place.

Meanwhile, the eighth grade A-team won the middle quarters 19-4 on the way to a 38-16 victory over Venus. Glen Rose allowed just five points through the first-three quarters.

Top scorers were Sophie Bozarth (16) and Brittany Rosentreter (11). Other scorers included K.K. Aper (7), Brittany Miller (2) and Grace Morris (2).

The eighth grade Lady Tiger A-team finished 6-2 in district, which put Glen Rose in a three-way tie for first place with Kennedale and Venus.
