The Glen Rose Tigers varsity placed third in the Grandview track meet on March 22, with 97 points, trailing Godley with 132 and Alvarado with 130.

Frank Brandenburg and Blake Eschbach were the only two Tigers able to grab first place in any event. Brandenburg placed first in the 100 yard dash with a time of 11.07 seconds.

Eschbach grabbed first in two events, the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 40.5 seconds and triple jump with a leap of 41 feet 5.5 inches.

Brandenburg and Eschbach also contributed to a second place victory in the 800 meter relay with Cody Burtscher and Carter Brandt. The team finished the relay with a time of 1:31.9.

Austin Gibson, Brandt, Eschbach and Burtscher also placed second in the 1600 meter relay with a time of 3:34.

Brandenburg, Brandt, Ernesto Salinas and Jamie Ingram placed fourth in the 400 meter relay with a time of 46.2 seconds.

Salinas also placed fifth in the 100 meter dash running it in 11.44 seconds.

In the 800 meter run, Gibson placed second with a time of 2:11, followed by Ben Coppock in third place with a time of 2:17.

Burtscher was able to place second in the 110 hurdles finishing in 15.46 seconds.

Eschbach wasn't the only Tiger to place in the triple jump with Gibson finishing sixth, jumping 37 feet 9 inches.

Justin Weatherly cleared 5 feet 6 inches in the high jump for fifth place.

The Tigers will compete again on March 29 in Clifton.
