The seventh and eighth grade boys and girls track and field teams from Glen Rose Junior High competed in Comanche last week.
Seven Lady Tigers contributed to the scoring column for the seventh grade girls. Abby Cole finished first in the discus, while Alex Dahl took third.
In the long jump, Reilly Junge was the winner and Kiffany Kelly was third. Junge also finished second in the triple jump.
Junge, Kelly, Shelby Rotan and Destiny Ponce teamed up to finish second in the 4x100m relay, while Kelly took fitfth in the 100m dash.
Junge, Rotan, Kelly and Bri Hulsey combined for fifth in the 4x400m relay.
In the eighth grade girls competition, 11 Lady Tigers scored points.
Tatiana Woodd finished first in the pole vault and sixth in the 2,400m run. Taking second in the vault was Taylor Rhodes.
Teryl Dunn finished third in the shot put, while Christine Sprinkle placed sixth in the high jump.
In the long jump, Yvonne Garcia was third and Hannah Dias was sixth.
Jaylan Dillard, Peyton Downing,, Morgan Bruce and Garcia worked together to finish third in the 4x100m relay.
Dias finished second in the 800m and fourth in the 400m, while Dillard was fourth in the 100m hurdles. Sprinkle was third in both the 300m hurdles and the 200m dash. Amber Bulliner placed fifth in the 100m.
In the 4x200m, Bruce, Downing, Macy Reynolds and Garcia claimed sixth place, while Dillard, Sprinkle, Dias and Garcia were second in the 4x400m.
The seventh grade boys had nine point scorers at the event.
Blake Eschbach placed third iin the triple jump and fifth in the 400m dash, while Jared Thames took fifth in the discus and Austin Mapes placed sixth in the 200m.
In the relays, Martin Garcia, Xavier Bustos, Jeremy Cates and Josh Mena placed fourth in the 4x100m, while Bobby Guinn, Mapes, Mena and Garcia were fourth in the 4x200m and Guinn, Bustos, Crescencio Martinez and Eschbach teamed up for fourth in the 4x400m.
Seven eighth Tigers scored.
Logan Caylor was fourth in the pole vault, Joey Vollmer took second in the shot put, Frank Brandenburg was second in the 100m and Jesus Aguilar had the best finish by winning the 400m.
Reyes Chavez, Ben Mongria, Gray Dulcie and Caylor teamed up for sixth in the 4x200m.
