The scoreboard wasn't lit up for the fans to see when the 2010 football season kicked off on Friday night, but it wouldn't have been a pleasant sight for Glen Rose fans anyway.
The Glen Rose Tigers (0-1) were on the wrong side of a 49-26, offensive explosion as the Bridgeport Bulls (1-0) found the end zone early and often at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers didn't reach the board until 1:41 remained in the first half, and Bridgeport answered with a touchdown drive with 0:02 left in the half.
A 97-yard kickoff return by Kevin Brooks gave the Tigers a renewed spirit entering the locker room, but the early deficit was too much to overcome as the Bulls went on to victory.
