Special to the Reporter

After a 0-0 halftime tie, a pair of turnovers turned the tide in China Spring’s favor and the Cougars raced past Glen Rose, 20-0, in JV football play last week.

A second-half interception and fumble helped the Cougars, despite having their defensive front controlled by Tiger linemen Brandon Oliver, Trey Nabours, Sean Willis, Hayden Trotter, Jake Sharber, Hector Taboada and Caleb Douglas.

Coaches cited Colten Bailey and Coleman Dias for strong defensive efforts.

The JV Tigers complete their season at Hillsboro tonight.
