Chase Evatt stepped up admirably in the absence of sterting quarterback Frank Brandenburg, who missed last Friday’s game with a broken foot. Evatt, who is one of the seniors who will be honored before kickoff of Friday’s 7:30 p.m. season finale against District 8-3A leader Alvarado, rushed for 166 yards and a remarkable five touchdowns last week. Glen Rose demolished Hillsboro 42-7, improving their record to 4-5. They have a chance to finish the year with an even .500 mark with a win Friday.
