Ty Taylor is headed to regionals in both hurdle events, headlining a group of seven Tiger individuals and one relay team to qualify from the District 12-3A meet in Glen Rose last week.

Taylor raced a district title time of 41.55 seconds in th 300m hurdles, and placed third in the 110m hurdles in 16.3 ticks of the clock to earn regional status in multiple events.

Nick Gibson won district gold in the discus with a throw of 146-11, more than 12 feet better than teammate Granger, who made it a 1-2 finish for Glen Rose in the event.

Two more Tigers qualified in the high jump, as Austin Eschbach and Tyler Pillow each cleared 6-2 to place second and third, respectively.

Daniel Groome posted a high jump of 14-0, just one foot behind the winning mark, and three-feet clear of the third place finisher. His second place finish has him joining the group headed to regionals.

Also qualifying is the 4x400m relay squad, which finished the mile-long event in 3:36.2.

Others scoring points for the Tigers included Figueroa (6th, shot put, 41-8), Dylan Mobly (5th, discus, 122-9) and McPherson (5th, 3,200m, 11:50.8).

The GRHS 4x100m relay squad finished fifth in 45.11 seconds, whil the 4x200m team team was fourth in 1:35.3.
