Tyler Tongate and Dylan Rodriguez paired together to win the boys doubles competition, and as a team Glen Rose took the overall title in the Jurassic Classic Tennis Tournament earlier this month.

Tongate and Rodriguez were joined in the boys doubles competition by Ben McPherson and Marquis Holder, who finished third.

Overall, Glen Rose won at least two places in every division.

Gray Dulcie and Drew Bumpas finished second and fourth, respectively, in boys singles.

In girls singles action, Skylar Schneider placed third and Brittany Hurtado was fourth.

In girls doubles play, Carly Payne and Veronica Villa won second, Hannah Martin and Jenna Lopez were the consolation winners and Kelsie Fleetwood and Shelby Lacy were consolation finalists.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers tallied 47 points, nine more than second-place Hillsboro with 38. Dublin was third with 22 points, while Eastland, Godley, Venus and West rounded out the field.

Glen Rose returns to action Thursday in the Conte Classic. The District 7-3A varsity tournament is April 7-8 in Glen Rose.
