Glen Rose hosted its annual cross country meet last week and two girls from the home team placed in the top 15 in the varsity girls race.

Breanna Crawford and Gina Sannoh both won medals for the Lady Tigers. Crawford finished ninth, followed by Sannoh in 15th. Sao Sannoh placed 34th, Hannah Dias 45th, Tatiana Wood 57th and Amber Hewitt 69th.

The JV girls were led by medalist Jena Brannon in 13th. She was followed by Merae Talavera in 22nd, Shelby Tankersley in 34th, Nicole Hernandez in 38th, Anonda Beem in 41st and Jessie Nystel in 53rd.

Junior high girls also ran in the event, including 12 from Glen Rose.

Shilah McFadin won a medal as the 14th finisher in the seventh grade race. Other Lady Tigers in the event included Claire Boswell (18th), Madison Wooten (24th), Aubrey Stames (25th), Kasmir Thompson (48th), Savannah Carper (50th) and Amanda Jones (53rd).

Eighth graders from Glen Rose were Makayla Kucera (18th), Carmen Hernandez (25th), Elizabeth Escobar (28th), Alicia Villapondo (33rd) and Rebecca Floyd (60th).
