Accolades: Five first places in power-lifting, two outstanding lifter awards, outstanding bench press award for the heavy platform at the regional meet, won the D2 275 weight class state championship, District 8-3A lineman of the year and Academic All-District in football

What is your favorite sport?

Football is my favorite sport, by far. I like the intensity and the environment it creates. I also like the family it creates within your team, which you cannot experience anywhere else.

Who is your favorite athlete?

I do not watch much sports and I donít really have a favorite athlete.

Who do you look up to?

I look up to my oldest brother, Miguel. He has gone to school and graduated. He now has a good job and is living a good life.

What is your most memorable moment of this year?

My most memorable moment this year was when we beat Bridgeport 57-56, for the bi-district game. It was the first time for me to experience playoffs and to prove all the doubters wrong was awesome!

What are your plans for after high school?

After high school I plan on going on to play ball in college, where I will get a degree in civil engineering.
