The Glen Rose junior high girls basketball teams won three of four games against Godley last week.

The seventh grade “A” Lady Tigers outscored Godley 9-2 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 24-13 win.

Destenie Lewis Glen Rose with 10 points while Madi Gibson added six. Bailey Brown, Hannah Morales, Dakota Ponce and Brynna Taylor each had two.

The eighth grade “A” team from Glen Rose couldn’t overcome Godley’s 18-2 second-quarter run and fell 34-13.

Meredith Odom led the Lady Tigers with seven points, while Kelsey Potter and Cheyenne VanWinkle each had two and Jayce Long and Sierra Armstrong both scored one.

The eighth “B” girls didn’t give up a point through three quarters and won in dominant fashion, 39-2.

Meghan Branham had 10 points to lead the Lady Tigers. Kimberlee McCullough and Destiny Sutherland were on her heels with eight each, Nicole Rogers netted five, Kedzie Sheets had four and Bailey Randall and Madaline Campos each added two.

The seventh “B” Lady Tigers shut out Godley in the first quarter and led 11-1 by halftime on their way to a 21-6 victory.

Glen Rose benefitted from a balanced scoring effort with Savannah Carper scoring five, Megan Bretton and Nalia Poland each adding four and Brittan Grace, Kensy Massey, Molly Burns and Madi Baker all chipping in with two.
