Walnut Springs used three double-digit scoring performances including a double-double by Jacot White to blow past Oglesby, 67-46, in high school boys district basketball action last Tuesday.
WSHS improved to 6-7 overall and 4-0 in league play with the victory.
White scored 22 points and collected 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who used an 11-4 third quarter advantage to pull away after leading by nine at the break.
The night may have belonged to White, but he certainly had plenty of help from his surrounding cast, as Zach Turnham turned in yet another standout performance with 14 points and nine boards and Andrew Herring scored 11 while dishing out four assists and securing five rebounds. Eddie Whitt also dropped four dimes to go with seven points and six boards.
Other scorers for Walnut Springs included Mario Ballesteros with six, Matthew Prescher with four, Kody Stack with two and Rey Chavez with one.
