GLEN ROSE - On Nov. 24, families and residents at Glen Rose Nursing and Rehab came together for a Thanksgiving feast to celebrate the holiday.

The meal gave families a chance to enjoy a dinner with their loved ones who reside in the community. The group dined on home cooked items provided by the staff at GRNR. Throughout the meal, GRNR staff made sure the residents and their family members were enjoying themselves.

Everyone in attendance agreed that the day was special because they got to spend it with family members they might not get a chance to see everyday. Residents got a chance to visit with sons, daughters, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren, which brought a smile to many of their faces.

Next up for GRNR will be their resident Christmas parties, set to take place Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. for the Sunshine unit and Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. for the Gardenview unit, and 6 p.m. for the Rehab unit. These parties will provide families another chance to get together for the holiday and enjoy refreshments and entertainment provided by GRNR.

GRNR currently has an Angel Tree on display in their Sunshine unit lobby, so that family, staff or visitors may adopt an angel for the holiday season. If you would like additional information on the Angel Tree contact Crystal Anderson at 254-974-2044.

In addition to the Thanksgiving feast and Christmas parties, GRNR holds an annual prom for the residents to enjoy.
