The new 7-Eleven store that will be located on the corner of US 67 and Hwy 144 in Glen Rose is scheduled to start construction in November.

The 7-Eleven concept will offer high speed diesel fueling as well as Loretta Taco Fast Food.

Tim Donovan with Verdad Real Estate representing 7-Eleven purchased approximately 2.25 acres of the southeast corner of US 67 and Hwy 144. Clark Real Estate is offering 1+ acre tracts for sale on the remainder of the 37 acres. They are currently in negotiations with several high-end users.

“In negotiating the 7-Eleven transaction, we believed it was imperative for this to benefit the community as well as the economy,” said Lori Mills with Clark Real Estate Group. “With Glen Rose having a high trucking traffic count as well as our strong tourist traffic, we are desperately in need of accessible high-speed diesel fueling which 7-Eleven will be providing."

Glen Rose City Council voted unanimously in mid-May to allow the construction of 7-Eleven.

As previously reported by the E-T, Glen Rose City Administrator Michael Leamons said that the 7-Eleven truck stop is a big project for the city, not only for its tax revenue but also “because it offers something we don’t have – a truck stop. It will generate extra revenue for the city.”

“We are excited about the opportunities this will bring to Glen Rose, Texas,” Mills added.
