Flanary, Gilbreath named Youth of the Month for middle school

Kaylee Flanary was named Youth of the Month for junior high for the month of March by the Glen Rose Optimist Club.

Kaylee Flanary and Garrett Gilbreath were named Youth of the Month for junior high for the month of March by the Glen Rose Optimist Club.

Flanary's academics include recognized by Duke University Talent Identification Program; UIL-Maps, Graphs, and Charts; UIL-Oral Reading; UIL-Listening; and 7th Grade End-of-Year Math Award.

Her leadership includes being a media reporter for Tiger Squad.

Her achievements include National Junior Honor Society; Member GRJH volleyball, basketball and track teams; All-District Band (Bassoon); Girl Scouts Bronze Award.

Her community involvement includes being a member of the First United Methodist Church; volunteers at Children’s Sunday School and VBS; Girl Scouts; Pokémon Club; and Cosplay Club.

Gilbreath's academics include receiving the 7th grade Math Award for the 2013-14 school year.

His leadership includes shows leadership on his baseball team and through his participation in other sports such as football, basketball and track. Garrett has also shown leadership in his Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts) class by receiving several STAR Awards

His achievements include receiving 1st place medal for the 2013-14 GRYBA Baseball League; Received a GRYBA All-Star award for the 2014 baseball season. In 2013, Garrett achieved a Blue Belt ranking in Tae Kwon Do.

His community involvement includes involved with Stonewater Youth Group.
