Wisdom, Richesin named Youth of the Month

Evan Richesin was named Youth of the Month for high school for the month of March by the Glen Rose Optimist Club.

Hanna Wisdom and Evan Richesin have been named Youth of the Month for high school for the month of March by the Glen Rose Optimist Club.

Wisdom's leadership includes being co-president of POWER SET and she has been an NHS member since 2013.

Her achievements include UIL Editorial Writing State Qualifier in 10th grade; UIL Mathematics Regional Qualifier 10th and 11th grades; VASE medalist (art contest) in 9th grade; commended on PSAT/NMSQT; and UIL Science Regional Qualifier in 11th grade.

Her community involvement includes being a Granbury Church of Christ volunteer.

Her academics include UIL Math and Science team member this year; AP Scholar, score of 3 or higher on 3 AP tests; commended on PSAT/NMSQT; top 5 percent, currently ranked 2nd; member NHS; and “A” Honor Roll.

She will graduate with 50 college hours and plans to attend Rice University majoring in Biochemistry.

Richesin's leadership includes held position on Student Council for 2 years; Squad leader in Marching Band; Vice President of HOSA for 2 years; WIT (Workforce Industry Training) member; and Army Reservist.

His achievements include qualified for State Solo and Ensemble competition 2 consecutive years; enlisted in the U.S. Army as Practical Nursing Specialist and then attend Tarleton and major in Nursing.

His community involvement includes church volunteer work; food drive volunteer; worked blood drives; set up and worked Paluxy Pedal; miscellaneous trash pick-up; and set up for band competitions.

His academics include 3.74 GPA; will graduate with 52 college credit hours; UIL participant, Distinguished Degree plan graduate; and ranked 15th in class.
